Dr. Larisha Smith is a dedicated and experienced veterinarian whose journey in veterinary medicine has taken her across the country. Originally from California, Dr. Smith has lived in various parts of the United States: She completed high school in Maryland before earning her undergraduate degree from a Historically Black College and University (HBCU). Her passion for animals and science led her to Mississippi State University, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. Smith remains a proud supporter of her alma mater.
Dr. Smith began her professional veterinary career in Arizona, where she practiced for several years before relocating to Texas in 2018. Her clinical background is both diverse and extensive, encompassing Small Animal General Practice, Emergency Medicine, and Corporate Veterinary Medicine. She has worked with a wide range of animal species, including dogs, cats, small exotic mammals, and reptiles. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Smith has hands-on experience in AKC conformation and obedience shows, as well as canine breeding.
Now a valued member of the team at Story Road Animal Hospital, Dr. Smith considers it a privilege to be part of her clients’ and their pets' lives. She looks forward to providing compassionate, high-quality care to the community’s beloved pets and is honored to be a trusted partner in their health and well-being.
Dr. Glenn was born in Columbus, Ohio, but grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 and has been at the Story Road location since 2005.
Dr. Glenn has many pets at home, including dogs, cats, two snakes, and a bird, but you can always find “Pearl Harbor,” her little rescue Shih Tzu, sitting in her own chair at Dr. Glenn’s desk.
